Further Education Teaching Assistant
Salary: £14,430.52 per annum

We are looking for an enthusiastic and supportive Further Education Teaching Assistant to join our Academic team at Millfield.
Working primarily with students undertaking Level 3 BTEC qualifications, you will work alongside teaching staff to support engaging and effective learning, helping individuals and small groups of students to build confidence, develop independence and make excellent progress.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will assist with learning activities, contribute to a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment, support the delivery of pre-determined elements of the curriculum and provide feedback to teachers on student progress and the effectiveness of learning activities. You will build positive relationships with students and colleagues and help ensure every student is supported to reach their full potential.
The role is 27.5 hours per week for 33.6 weeks per year (term time plus one week). The hours of work are 8.45am to 3.45pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8.45am to 12.15pm on Wednesday. In return you will receive a salary of £14,430.52 per annum.
We are looking for someone who is approachable, encouraging and committed to supporting young people in their learning. You will have high expectations of students and be able to work collaboratively with teaching staff and colleagues across academic departments and the Learning Support Centre.
