Teacher of Bagpipes (Self-employed)

Millfield School is seeking an experienced and inspirational Bagpipes Teacher to provide individual tuition across Millfield Senior School and Millfield Prep School. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and grow bagpipe provision, inspiring pupils aged 6-18.
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic musician able to teach a range of abilities, from beginners to more advanced players. The successful candidate will play a key role in encouraging uptake, developing musicianship, and preparing pupils for concerts and examinations.
The role requires strong organisation and communication skills, including maintaining lesson records and liaising with pupils, parents and colleagues. There may also be opportunities to support school concerts.
This is a self-employed position of approximately half a day per week, with potential to grow as demand increases. The successful candidate will manage their own invoicing and arrangements for lesson payments directly with parents.
