Health & Safety at Wellington College is seeking a proactive professional to help sustain a safe, compliant and forward‑thinking environment for our community.
Wellington College is a vibrant, ambitious and forward‑thinking community where innovation, high standards and a deep commitment to wellbeing shape everything we do. Colleagues join us because they want to contribute to a place that blends tradition with inspired thinking, and where every role, whether student‑facing or behind the scenes, helps create an exceptional environment in which young people can thrive.
As our Health & Safety Officer, working on a full time contract, you will play a central role in supporting a culture where safety, responsibility and care are embedded across our busy, multi‑site campus. Working as part of the Estates team, you will help ensure that our pupils, staff, contractors and visitors experience a safe and well‑managed environment every day. The work is varied and meaningful, ranging from supporting compliance and monitoring processes through to assisting with incident investigations, engaging colleagues in best practice, and championing a proactive approach to risk management.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a unique and inspiring estate, collaborating with colleagues in teaching, pastoral care, operations, sport and facilities. You will support areas such as training, digital compliance systems, day‑to‑day assessments and the practical delivery of safety standards across a mixture of heritage buildings, modern facilities and busy operational spaces. Your ability to build strong working relationships, communicate clearly and offer practical solutions will be essential in helping maintain the College’s high expectations for safety and continuous improvement.
Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, with train and bus links providing easy access to transport connections, the College offers a supportive environment where professional development is valued, and where you can continue to build your expertise in the health and safety field. If you are motivated, organised and keen to make a tangible impact within a collaborative and values‑driven community, we would be delighted to hear from you.
